Monopalooza 2010

ASPEN!!! Four resorts to choose from.
Feb. 24th through March 1st 2010

Aspen has a shuttle service that runs 'til 2AM everyday, so no matter where you stay in the valley, you'll be able to get around without driving much. First Colorado Resorts are opened Loveland Oct. 7th and A-Basin Oct. 9th!!!

The Squaw Valley Skiing Magazine article and the Warren Miller movie "Off the Grid" has given the monoski new exposure. People seem to know about it in lift lines and more know what the monoski is, though most the kids still call it a snowboard-ski and monoboard seems to be the choice word for most others that aren't fimiliar with the sport. More people have been exposed to Monopalooza than ever before, and the European movement is gaining ground! Monopalooza is really more of ski club that has fun together and not so much an organized event like many in the ski world are used to. Our goal is to have fun, and hang out and ski with friends... and of course rent a ridiculously lavish mansion to party in each year!!!

We're planning another festive and fun Monopalooza with all the events you've grown to love. Maybe we'll actually get some of the events accomplished this year since the bottom of the mountain isn't really the top and there is no cat or helicopter! The main group will arrive on Wed. at the Monopalooza House, we'll ski on Thursday with nothing organized other than the mountain location and some meeting places throughout the day. Friday well enjoy a cookout at the Monopalooza House and we typically do all the events on Saturday. You can organize your iteneraries at www.lateralpressure.com, Please use the sticky captions for all scheduling.

Win raffle tickets by placing in the top three in each of the events at this year's Monopalooza or purchase them at awards night. Coda is donating a monoboard and some accessories and Chronic Ski Co. is donating a monoski and some other yummie prizes too!

2009 winners: Events were all cancelled, here's the 2008 winners;

Downhill: Erik Larson stage 1, Scott Hicks stage 2
Skate ski race: Mike Flynn
3-legged race: Scott Gordon and Mike Flynn
Wheelbarrow race: Lee Dube and Terry Hennessey
